2ND Annual Youth Protection Symposium

by Webmaster
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing programs.
Do you know how to help your Scouts (or your child) stay safe on popular social media platforms? Would you be able to help law enforcement if you discovered a predator was trying to meet your Scouts (or your child) using social media?
Those are just some of the subjects covered by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in one of the keynote presentations during our council’s Youth Protection Symposium on Saturday, April 9, at the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center. This FREE event from10am-Noon is for Scout leaders as well as any parent or adult concerned with children’s safety. You’ll also be introduced to agencies who are willing to help your Scout unit become better informed about a variety of youth protection topics.
While the event is free, we ask you to click the banner below and RSVP so we’ll have a headcount for providing enough materials:
